Founded in Kansas City, MigrantPortal serves communities across the United States with a simple belief: the distance between a family in need and a neighbor ready to help should never be too far.

Nirmal Samuel
Nirmal Samuel is the founder of MigrantPortal and a technology professional based in Kansas City, Missouri. With a deep personal understanding of what it means to navigate life as an immigrant — and a lifelong faith commitment to the dignity of every person — Nirmal built MigrantPortal to close the gap between migrant families in crisis and communities ready to respond.
MigrantPortal began as a simple question: why is it so hard for someone who wants to help to find someone who needs help? That question became a platform, and a platform became a movement.
Nirmal leads MigrantPortal Foundation's technology, partnerships, and growth — driven by the conviction that technology, when built with compassion, can restore dignity to the vulnerable and activate the generosity of communities.
